A simple and functional design language. The bicycle and footpath bridge has a span of approximately 70 metres, crossing the Eisack River without any intermediate supports. The height of the girder in the middle of the bridge is 7 metres, and the clear width of the carriageway is 4.35 metres. The entire bridge support structure has a width of 6.75 metres and is constructed with galvanized and color-coated steel, designed in the form of an arch bridge with truss bracing. The chosen design has the advantage of not having any structural elements below the roadway that could obstruct the navigability of the river. This ensures that the passage between the two banks of the river remains unaffected.
