Building form based on a curling stone. The oval building volume with open and inviting entrances strikes a balance between the formal requirements of the master plan and the rectangular shape of the playing field. The facades are designed as shells that interlock at their ends, emphasizing the entrance areas with glazed facades on the lower levels and providing an oversized projection surface with the aluminum shells above. The modular steel construction allows for easy dismantling and possible reconstruction at another location if needed.
