Retention of the picturesque existing ensemble ‘saddle roof house on a hill’. In its basic form, the existing building already characterises the historically evolved, typical local architecture to an almost exemplary degree. The new building is to take over and reinterpret the simplicity and self-evidence of the old building substance by choosing a timeless, clear and inconspicuously reduced language of form. In this way, it is possible to integrate the contemporary new building into the sensitive landscape and urban context in the best possible way, without, however, creating a simple copy of the existing building.
