Refurbishment, conversion and extension in several project phases during ongoing production.
Calm, compact building with an elegant touch. As a result of economic and production-related considerations, as well as future market and workplace requirements and due to the ageing building fabric, a master plan was drawn up over several project phases for the future structural development of the production plant of the existing Brixen dairy farm in order to be able to operate the Varna site competitively in the medium and long term. Following the relocation and expansion of the existing office space, as well as various structural adjustments, such as the construction of a new cooling tunnel, the masterplan includes the construction of a five-storey, east-facing extension, which remains almost invisible from the street side. Large areas of glazing provide bright workspaces in production, offices and laboratory areas, while targeted views in and out - for example through the visitor platform with floor-to-ceiling glazing - signalise openness and transparency. The levels in the interior are clearly zoned with structured pathways, high-quality materials and an open, multifunctional cafeteria with a garden create a modern working and visitor atmosphere that strengthens the identity and efficiency of the site in equal measure.
