Remodelling and qualitative expansion with a harmonious overall concept
Details as a means of continuity. The rhythm of the predominant gable roof typology of the existing structure is also applied to the newly planned extensions in the design, creating a seamless and unobtrusive transition between the old and new building elements. The axis grids of the hotel rooms always align with the eaves, resulting in a symmetrical, honeycomb-like arrangement of building volumes. The balconies and canopies of the hotel rooms serve as a key element of continuity between old and new structures, supported by gently arched consoles that extend from the main facade. These consoles also discreetly incorporate necessary partition elements to ensure privacy. Subtle, delicate steel railings with flat-rolled diamond mesh inserts complete the design.
